The first step

AI Readiness Assessment for growing companies in Europe: find out where AI pays before you spend more.

Most companies already use AI — in tools their people chose themselves, in pilots that never left the pilot. The first step with NordOps Consulting is a fixed-price look at what is really happening, what the law already asks of you, and which processes would repay an AI build first.

What is an AI readiness assessment?

An AI readiness assessment measures where a company stands before it invests in AI: which AI tools are already in use, whether the data is good enough for AI to read, which processes would return the most, and which EU AI Act duties apply. With NordOps Consulting it starts with a one-week AI Snapshot, and the full Assessment adds a measured business case and a 90-day roadmap.

AI Snapshot

For a company that wants to know where it stands before it commits to anything.

  • An inventory of AI in use — the approved tools and the ones people brought in themselves, and what company data goes into them
  • An EU AI Act check — where you stand on AI literacy and transparency, which already apply
  • A shortlist of three processes where AI would pay first, with the reason for each
  • A short written report and a one-hour review with management

AI Readiness Assessment

For a company ready to act, which wants the numbers before it builds.

  • Everything in the Snapshot
  • Your top three processes measured as they are really done — timed, counted and costed against a loaded hourly rate
  • Your data checked — whether your CRM and finance systems agree well enough for AI to rely on them
  • A business case for each process, agreed in writing
  • A 90-day roadmap — what to build first, what to buy, and what to leave alone

Credited in full

Whatever you paid is deducted from the Chief AI Officer retainer or the build if you go ahead.

Yours to keep

The report and the roadmap are yours whether or not you continue — take them to anyone.

Measured, not estimated

The business case is built from work that was watched being done, so the saving is one you can put your name to.

Some of it applies today. Most of the heavy part does not.

Since 2 February 2025, every company that uses AI in the EU has had to take measures on AI literacy for the people who use it. No certificate is required, and an internal record of the training and guidance given is enough. National authorities have supervised the AI Act since August 2026.

Since August 2026, AI systems that talk to people have had to make clear they are AI unless it is obvious, and deep fakes have to be disclosed. The strict rules for high-risk uses, such as AI used in hiring, apply from 2 December 2027.

The Snapshot and the Assessment tell you which of these applies to you, and give you the inventory and the literacy record to show for it.

The assessment informs; it is not legal advice, and it does not certify compliance. Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, Articles 4, 50 and 113, as amended in 2026.

When what applies

  • 2 February 2025 — AI literacy; prohibited practices
  • August 2026 — transparency rules; national supervision begins
  • 2 December 2027 — high-risk uses, such as hiring
  • 2 August 2028 — AI inside regulated products

You decide what happens next. With the numbers in front of you.
